I know the old calendar is sold out, but I have never seen it, just heard about it.
Is there a place on line to see it?

Peter

Glad you asked, Peter! The photos from the Skepchick 2006 Calendar can be seen on the forum.

I haven't got the time or energy to read any more of your website, but I just thought I'd inform you that there are no such people as "christians".  There are Jews and there are Irish Catholics et al, that's all.

CC

Thanks for the info, CC! We'll spread the word to the other 2.1 billion misinformed "Christians!"

**********

Can you guys get an RSS feed set up so I can add you to my Bloglines, please? It’s just easier for me to do that rather than checking on the site on my own. (Yeah, it’s lazy, but I keep up with my sites better if they have RSS feeds)

Sincerely,
Shelly

You kids today, with your podcasts and your RSS feeds. Okay, Shelly, we have a team of super-smart IT people working it out right now -- we'll try to have it live by the March issue.

What scam, fraud, or pseudoscience is currently most detrimental to women? It has to be a combination of the image of the impossibly thin, blonde, and (it has to be said) sexy women, perpetuated by the media and fashion companies, and the Fad diets, whose creators benefit massively from this image.
Once again, good job, keep it up.

Jack "Gunther" Williams, Aussie Teenage Skeptic

Thanks, Jack. A number of skeptics on the forum agreed with you and some didn't, inspiring a rousing discussion that you can read about here. Jack also included some great links that have been added to our Resources page.

Hi Rebecca:
Thanks for publishing Skepchick. I enjoyed the article about the 6/6/06 wedding date and have shared it with my friends.
Skeptically yours,

Kevin
Citrus Heights, CA
p.s ., I like the picture of the cat on your "letter" page too. Cute. :)

Rebecca thanks you, and Dr. Calimari thanks you, too. We leave it to you to figure out who's who.

Hi,
Congratulations on your site.
I have but a remark. You say:
"Skepchicks are intelligent, strong, and beautiful women who are ...". I do like beautiful women, indeed, but in the sentence above it sounds like the less endowed need not apply. Reminds me of joints or nightclubs that advertise "only beautiful people" and make me think "well, it's not for me". Besides, intelligence and strength in a woman are a turn on for me and make looks weigh less in my evaluation of her.

Much success,
Fernando Silva

Hi Fernando, thanks for your thoughts. According to dictionary.com, the word "beautiful" means "1.) Having qualities that delight the senses, especially the sense of sight. 2.) Excellent; wonderful." Thus far, we've found pretty much all the Skepchicks here rather wonderful, not to mention excellent and delightful, too.

Thanks and thanks again for this website/initiative - brilliant beginning, hope you have lots of support to continue. The Darcie Hodgkins Langone article is inspiring.

Frances Tyson

Thanks to the support of people like you, Frances, we hope to stick around for a very long time!
